Chambers Island is located in the mouth of the Withlacoochee River, next to the end of County Rd 40 (which is a boat ramp). There are a number of spots on the island high enough to camp on. There are also a number of ruins of pre World War II homes and an old car there.

On week days, you can easily camp naturist-style without worrying about offending someone. On weekends you'd need to be more careful.
