| Travelling North from the boat ramp you will probably have to portage a couple of times unless the water is high. The first bridge North of highway 98 is a an old railroad bridge (now a private road) crossing the river. Just North of this bridge is an area with a several good campsites. |  |
The river level varies widely, so you might have to use the higher spots only if the river is up. This trip was slightly lower water than average, and campsites were abundant.
