Turkey Key

DeLorme Florida Atlas & Gazetteer page 116 grid C2

This is one of the small beaches at Turkey Key in the Everglades National Park. I camped at the far southern end, because I had been told there would be another group on the island, and I wanted to give them room in case they weren't comfortable with my nudity. They never showed up.

The island across the water is New Turkey Key, which has a large sandbar at low tide which is great for hiking and shelling. One of my other hobbies is Ham Radio, as evidenced by two of my antennas.
