Car Camping in the Ocala National Forest

DeLorme Florida Atlas and Gazeteer page 73 grid D3

The Gazeteer shows a small peninsula on the Southeast end of Sellers Lake. It does not show that there is a narrow dirt road veering off Forrest Road 595 and going along the peninsula. This road is the next right-hand turn West of where 445A crosses FR 595. After turning right on this road, there is an almost immediate left hand turn toward the lake. It is a one lane drive dead-ending into a campsite.
This is the campsite as seen from the one lane drive. Note that once you are there, no one else can drive into the site.

This is the actual open area at the end of the jeep trail (in front of the truck)

My wife Patty does not like being photographed nude, and does not like spiders dropping from trees onto her bare shoulder (which happened the one time she camped here), but she did enjoy this spot before the spider. After that, she sat in the truck and waited for me to take down the tent, etc.

This is another campsite in the area. It is just west of the entrance to Buck Lake. The entrance trail has a sign indicating it is a designated campsite. Weekend naturist use would be "iffy", but I got there on Sunday afternoon and had the place to myself till I went home Monday. It's on the edge of a swimmable pond.
