According to one of the park rangers, Graveyard Creek is the farthest point away from any road in the state of Florida. I have not verified that, but I can say it's a great campsite.
It's name was derived from a fued between racoon trappers in which one group killed the other group. Whether the bodies are actually buried there, I don't know. But I have never seen any obvious graves.
Graveyard Creek is on the edge of the Gulf. Swimming, wading, and low-tide shell collecting are great here.
