Naturist Hiking in Wekiwa State Park
DeLorme Florida Atlas & Gazeteer page 80 grid C1

I almost didn't include this area, but I have hiked it extensively in the past, and it was mostly naturist fashion.

The problem is that today, this park is so close to Orlando, it is difficult to be sure of having enough seclusion.

Florida State Park Rangers have found that they can apply Florida's Disorderly Conduct ordinance to simple nudity. The Disorderly Conduct ordinance (also called disturbing the peace) is so overly vague and open to interpretation (the Ranger's) that just about anything the Ranger doesn't want you doing qualifies.

If anyone sees you naked and complains, the Ranger has an open and shut case. But they may pursue it even if no one complains.

If you really want to pursue Naturist Hiking here, You need to do everything possible to stack the odds in your favor. This includes going only in the Summertime, going only on weekdays, keeping a towel or pair of shorts to quickly cover yourself with, and being very alert, watching and listening for any people in the area. Imagine you are behind enemy lines and must escape detection. That's about the kind of caution you need here.

All that said, there are quite a few miles of trails here. When I last hiked it, individuals weren't allowed to primitive camp. There was a group camping area that had to be reserved.
