Naturist camping on Lake Hatchineha

The Kississimme River flows through the East end of Lake Hatchineha. All along this lake are numerous good naturist campsites. Just cruise near the shore looking for high ground.

This is one of the least 'developed' lakes around (it hasn't been butchered by civilization yet). Except for the extreme western end, there are no houses, roads, etc.

One drawback of Hatchineha is the high number of airboaters on weekends. I have had good luck on weekdays, though, and even on weekends they are tolerable. You can hear an airboat coming for such a long time you can easily get out of sight or throw a towel over your lap before they arrive (don't expect to 'convert' the airboaters to naturism).

Some of the easy-to-find campsites include

Rough Island
The "Yacht Club"
The South Shore

This is by no means a complete list. Hatchineha is worth checking out on your own.

If you have a cabin boat, this lake has a plethora of anchorages. Just determine the expected prevailing wind, and anchor just outside the weeds of the shore where the wind is coming from. Avoid the temptation to anchor in the open area between the weeds and the shore. That's an airboat highway, and they love to run at night.
